Behind the Tee

Before there were graphics, collections or designs, there was the blank tee.

The idea for MRBLN started with something simple: creating the kind of T-shirt we actually wanted to wear every day in Australia. Something that felt substantial without being heavy, held its shape, sat properly on the body and could be worn on its own without feeling like an afterthought.

We spent more than 12 months designing, testing and sourcing the fabric and construction behind our tee. We worked through different materials, weights, fits and finishes until we landed on something that felt right, not just as a base for a design, but as a product strong enough to stand on its own.

Living in Australia shaped a lot of that process. We wanted a tee that could handle our climate and the way we actually dress here: easy enough for everyday wear, comfortable through warmer weather, but with enough structure and weight to still feel premium.

That blank tee became the foundation of the brand.

It is the same tee we sell plain and the same tee we use across our printed collections. Every graphic, release and design starts with that same base because we never wanted the artwork to make up for an average garment underneath.

For us, the tee was never just a canvas.

It was the reason the business started in the first place.

The designs will continue to evolve, but the blank tee underneath them will always remain at the core of MRBLN.
